(Post mark March 22, 1944)

Hello Sis

How are you today? I am fine as usual. Well, we are off for Camp Irwin again. It is just a show for some big General. We are supposed to be their best firing outfit in the U.S. in the A.A., and there is a big inspecting team of officers coming to see us fire. We are coming back Saturday. So, we won’t be gone so long. But the trouble is we may have to sleep in pup tents as we may not be able to get the regular tents. The moving came up so sudden, no one knew about it. We were going to have a party tonight, so they called it off, so we have to get up about 3 in the morning. Well, I have to cut this one as I have to pack my stuff and write mom the news. And don’t worry if you don’t hear from me until I come back to Haan. I sent those 2 papers yesterday. And also sending you the picture it isn’t very good. Well be good and take care of yourself.
