Haven't Been Doing Much

Dear Sis

Well how are you today, well I hope. I am just fine except for a bad cold and a stiff neck. Jake must t have a pretty good team this year. Sorry to hear he didn’t win the tourney.

I answered a letter Clark Rose wrote me today and told him I would be home sometime this month. The mail is sure slow coming to me and I guess it is just as slow going to you.

Haven’t been doing much latterly so haven’t got much to write about but when I come home you can ask me all the questions you want to, and I will try to answer them. I have been seeing Bob N. about every day now, but don’t know when he is coming home. Well, I will close now and write mom a few lines.

I Got Surprised Myself

Dear Sis

How is everything in Princeton today? It’s still the same out here. I don’t know of Mom told you or not that I was coming home as I told her not too. I wanted to surprise you, but I got surprised myself by not getting the furlough. But I will be home this month sometime. I saw Bob N. last night and told him to try to get his furlough with me. He said he didn’t know if he could or not as he didn’t have any money yet.

I haven’t been doing much lately I am on guard now. First time I’ve been on for a long time and I haven’t been on K.P. for about 2 months. How is Jake's team doing? Are they still winning? I haven’t played any basketball since I came to the army. I have played some ping pong at the rec. hall.

Well I wished I could write more but that’s all I can think of this time. Be good and I’ll be seeing you soon.

Brace Yourself

Hello Sis

How is everything back in Indiana? It is pretty nice out here, but I have a bad cold. I have a big surprise for you next week, so brace yourself. Ad I also have those 2 pictures I had taken in Hollywood. Have you ever taken any more pictures? I would like to have some more. Is Jake's tigers still coming out on top? Well that’s about all for this time. You will hear from me again soon.
