This is a story about my Dad, Bruce Dodson. He never would talk much about his time during World War II. Now that he and my Mom have passed, and being their only child, I have had the opportunity to go through all of their mementos. In doing so, I discovered a pile of letters that Dad wrote to his sister during his time in the service. Those letters, coupled with a search of WWII history are the focus of this blog.

Post Marked October 26, 1943. (Had problems with my scanner, so I am a day late.) Not sure why Geraldine wanted Dad's ring size, but he enclosed a piece of paper so she would know. It sounds as if he went from a tent full of guys to one that only has 3 in it. Wonder how he pulled that off?
