This is a story about my Dad, Bruce Dodson. He never would talk much about his time during World War II. Now that he and my Mom have passed, and being their only child, I have had the opportunity to go through all of their mementos. In doing so, I discovered a pile of letters that Dad wrote to his sister during his time in the service. Those letters, coupled with a search of WWII history are the focus of this blog.

This letter is Post Marked October 15. Dad is getting ready for a "tough inspection" and for a few weeks training in the desert. Oh...and he was glad to get some money that Geraldine sent to him.
